Group Two will meet on Tuesdays 4th and 18th November at 1400 at Waterstones café, Bolton. This group has learnt the basics of how to solve cryptic crosswords, is now learning about more challenging clues, and completes two crosswords in each session.

POETRY FOR PLEASURE

The next meeting is Thursday 20 November from 1330 - 1515 at the Hub, when our topic is ‘War and Peace’. At our December meeting (Thursday 18th) we will be looking at poems on the topic of 'Christmas giving, sharing, playing, caring'. This gives us more time to enjoy choosing what we read aloud. If you have not attended our group before and would like to come, please ring Eileen for further information.
READING GROUP

The group will meet on Thursday 20th November when we will discuss Kate Atkinson's latest Jackson Brodie book, Death At The Sign of the Rook.
The meeting starts at 1030 on Zoom and lasts about an hour. Our final book for the year is The House of Fortune by Jessie Burton. New members welcome, if you would like to join us, please contact Annie.

CRYPTIC CROSSWORDS

Group One will meet on Fridays 7th and 21st November at 1400 at Olympus restaurant in Bolton town centre at 1400. This group has learnt all the basics of how to solve cryptic crosswords and completes two moderately difficult crosswords in each session.

We will meet in Waterstones Coffee Shop at 1030 Friday to compare pictures.
MATHS GROUP

We meet on Friday 21st November at 1330 at the Hub. We shall follow up the differentiation (calculus) begun last month. This time it will be integration.
You might need a calculator, but it is not essential if you are good at arithmetic, and a sharp pencil for graph drawing. I will bring the graph paper.
